Check please!......

I hate to admit, but today isn't running any smoother than yesterday. I do have to say, my kids were really good on my little jaunt to Sam's Club. I didn't however, get anything accomplished before we left, and after we got back, all hell broke loose again. It was like any other trip. I pulled in the garage, got the kids out, unloaded the car, and started lunch. (*Note to self: I should have just bought lunch at Sams Club and avoided this disaster all together) I put the baby in her high chair and started some water on the stove for some macaroni and cheese. As I attempt to put away the couple things I still had out, I hear a crash behind me. The baby has pulled the curtain rod out of the wall. (Silly mommy, you're not supposed to leave the curtains where the baby can get them). Of course I leave my post at the stove and run to the baby to make sure the curtain rod didn't hit her. Luckily it didn't, but I forgot to turn the stove down after I dumped in the macaroni, so now the water on the stove is boiling over. Oh well, I guess I needed to clean the stove again anyway. I forgot to mention when I moved the pot I set it on a little piece of egg I had missed in my hastiness to get to the store, so when I returned it to the hot burner there was a tiny piece of egg on the bottom of the pan. This made my house smell amazing I must say! Nothing better than the smell of burnt egg! You can't make this stuff up people! Well the good news I did manage to get the children fed. The baby is now down for a nap. The big kids are watching the Lion King. I've vented, and can hopefully accomplish something before the hubby gets home and we have to start all over again. Maybe I can get the stove cleaned off, as long as I don't get on pinterest. :) I hope your day is going smoother than mine, but let's face it......this is about as smooth as mine get. If mommyhood was a restaurant, I'd definitely ask for the check and call it a day! Too bad it's only a little after 3:00. I don't know about your restaurant, but ours doesn't close until about 8:30!
